Weekly update #0009

On Saturday and Sunday I walked/hiked the last 2 parts of the Great River Path. Walked a total of 286 kilometres on this path. Also discovered that this path is part of a bigger path called the E8 European Long Distance Path, going from the west coast of Ireland to Istanbul in Turkey with a total distance of 4700 kilometres. Crossing Ireland, Wales, England, Netherlands (this part I just did), Germany (I did 17 kilometres into Germany), Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey. That should fill up some vacation days. 😂

I think the easy part is done, now the hard parts starts. Progress is slowing down. Very visible in the Cardio Fitness numbers. I think I can increase that by running, but I want to wait with running until my weight is below 80 kg, to save my knees from taking a lot of weight with each step. Also the raining/dark season is starting so I should find some sports that I can do indoors that also count as moving, like training bike or rowing machine which my Apple Watch can connect to, to count the distance. I did start swimming last week, all my muscles hurt the day after!
